Did you know? The exact history of tequila started in the 1600’s with the people of the Aztec, who made a fermented beverage from the agave plant. It is named after the city of Tequila, Mexico. There are essentially three variations of tequila:

• Blanco (silver): This is distilled and bottled immediately. Taste is light & refreshing.
• Reposado (gold): This is aged between 2-12 months. Taste is classic.
• Anejo (ultra-aged): This is aged between 12-24 months. Taste is rich & smokey.

Mezcal represents any Tequila made outside of the Tequila, Mexico area.
